This palace plan has been analysed again by draughtsman chief, Mr Woodford from works department, Seremban and had been approved in November 1902 by state and resident engineer British. This palace having 99 posts including four square that long spars its 67 legs. All four this post is were taken from Bukit Pergai, Jelebu. Other woods taken from Bukit Tinggi namely type of wood penak. This palace uniqueness is that it do not use any its iron nail but nail woodwork called drive.
This palace is have used for ceremony hauled before which held three once year. In year 1926, High Commissioner, Sir Lawrence Gullmard has also present in that ceremony. This palace also ever used by Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Sembilan to make Sekolah Menengah Agama Tinggi in year 1959 up to year 1964. Then this palace is being kept empty without occupant up to in year 1992. On DYMM TUANKU JAAFAR IBNI ALMARHUM TUANKU ABDUL RAHMAN's awareness, this palace with official gazette as MUZIUM DIRAJA. His opening was done in 14 July 1992 equivalent to 14 Muharram 1413 Hijrah.
Muzium Diraja management was under Lembaga Muzium's administration State, Negeri Sembilan. From moment this is Muzium Diraja Istana Lama Seri Menanti has turned face with display family collections Royal. Every room had been filled without changing palace original shape to explain that spaces function. Collectible items addition Muzium carried out interspersed with palace cooperation.
